Lee Spann, Jr. Resident Assistant Scholarship Fund
The Lee Spann, Jr. Resident Assistant Scholarship was established in December 2013 in memory of Lee, who was not only a successful collegiate athlete but also served as a Resident Assistant on the 7th floor of Ellicott Hall. The purpose of this scholarship is to support students who are Resident Assistants who also demonstrate financial need.
Leonard A. Riggs Current-Use Scholarship
The Leonard A. Riggs Current-Use Scholarship, established in 2024 by Chris Riggs ’16, honors the legacy of his father, Leonard "Lenny" Riggs. As the son of Jamaican immigrants, Lenny understood the transformative power of education in achieving economic and social mobility. Through this scholarship, Chris aims to continue his father’s legacy by supporting students who share a similar dedication to education, easing the financial burden faced by both students and their families, and helping them pursue their academic dreams.LGBT Advocacy Scholarship Fund
The LGBT Advocacy Scholarship was established by University of Maryland alumni to provide scholarship support for students who demonstrate financial need and commitment to the LGBT community.
Littenberg Family Scholarship Fund
The Littenberg Family Scholarship recognizes undergraduate juniors or seniors who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship will recognize the challenges that students face to remain in school with what sometimes is an overwhelming financial commitment.
Maggi Bridwell Center for Women's Health Fund
The Maggie Bridwell Center for Women's Health Fund was established to help provide operational and medical needs to the University Health Center.
