Accessibility & Disability Service (ADS) supports undergraduate and graduate students with disabilities across the University of Maryland and ensure equal access and inclusion in education. ADS provides accommodations and coaching for students with disabilities and are staffed by dedicated professionals who are available to assist, consult, support and advocate on behalf of individuals requesting disability services.
Services include:
- Academic: accommodated testing, accommodated note taking, alternative text accommodations, communication access services, assistive technology unit
- Housing: partnering with the Department of Resident Life to implement housing accommodations for students living within an on-campus residence hall.
- Experienced-Based Learning: assistantships (teaching, research, graduate), internships, clinical rotations, student teaching, fieldwork
