Below is a complete list of all the scholarships, awards, prizes and programmatic funds that need your support within the Division of Student Affairs.

If you would like more information on creating a scholarship or the differences between scholarship types, please visit our Scholarship FAQs page. Should you have any questions about supporting one of the existing funds or would like to discuss the establishment a new fund, please contact Ed Kenny.

  • Resident Assistant Scholarship

Resident Assistants at the University of Maryland make a lasting impact in the lives of students through their leadership, dedication, and compassion for their peers. The Resident Assistant Scholarship Fund provides critical support to University of Maryland Resident Assistants facing financial hardships. Through scholarships for textbooks/technology and tuition, deserving student leaders receive financial assistance to help offset rising education costs. Gifts in support of this fund will support the current-use scholarship fund until the minimum threshold required to convert to endowment is reached.

  • Returning Student Program Scholarship

The Returning Student Scholarship provides support for need-based scholarships for students enrolled at the University who are at least 25 years of age and who meet additional eligibility considerations. The Returning Student Scholarship is supported by Returning Student Program donors and the National Council of Jewish Women, Inc., Montgomery County MD Section in memory of Riddia Cass, a pioneer in the organization.

  • Robert B. and Dorothy L. Crotty Veterans Scholarship

The Robert B. And Dorothy L. Crotty Veterans Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2018 in order to provide critical support to University of Maryland students who are veterans, active duty service members or reservists of the U.S. Armed Forces with a preference for students that exhibit positive career ambitions, or display leadership and service to others in the community, or a combination of both.
