Below is a complete list of all the scholarships, awards, prizes and programmatic funds that need your support within the Division of Student Affairs.

  • Parents & Families Initiatives Gift Fund

The Parents & Families Initiatives Fund provides the Division of Student Affairs with valuable resources to support innovative programs and services that promote student learning, engagement, and success. The Parents & Families Initiatives Fund is the annual drive for unrestricted gifts from parents that supports the University’s top priority: your children, our students. Gifts to the Parents Initiatives Fund go to work immediately and support programs and activities not covered by tuition and fees—experiences that transform students and prepare them for a lifetime of success. In the past, funds have been used for: health and wellness programming, academic support/tutoring, career development, unpaid internship scholarships, alcohol-free, on-campus weekend programs, student leadership development, Alternative Breaks/Service-Learning opportunities, and parent and family resources.

  • Parents as Partners Gift Fund

The Parents as Partners Campaign helps sustain programs sponsored by the Office of Parent and Family Affairs and directly support initiatives of the Maryland Parents Association. Support from parents provides students with scholarships that enable them to continue their education at (and graduate from) the university. Contributions from parents have provided funding for additional tutors in the Math Success Program, helped institute the AlcoholEdu Program, enabled the creation of the Office of Student Conduct's Integrity, Character and Ethics (ICE) Campaign, helped establish a special service-learning opportunity through the Office of Leadership and Community Service-Learning, and much more.

  • Pat Tillman Scholarship Fund

The Tillman Military Scholarships at the University of Maryland are sponsored by the Pat Tillman Foundation "Leadership Through Action™" initiative, which is dedicated to supporting educational opportunities for servicemembers and their families. The scholarships are intended to cover direct study-related expenses, and will ensure these leaders have every opportunity to pursue broader educational goals.

  • Patricia S. Higgins Scholarship Fund

The Patricia S. Higgins Scholarship was established in February 2008 by friends and colleagues of Patricia S. Higgins, who worked for Dining Services at the University for more than 46 years. The Patricia S. Higgins Scholarship provides annual scholarships for employees of Dining Services or their dependents who are enrolled at the University.
