About Us

The Thrive Center for Essential Needs team offers comprehensive guidance and support focused on addressing core basic needs—food security, housing stability, financial wellness—and other essential resources that impact student health, well-being, belonging, and academic success. We are committed to holistically supporting students throughout their academic journey by offering consultations and mentoring, fostering a safe and inclusive campus through programming and advocacy, and connecting students with service providers, health resources, and other essential supports. Our office also works with faculty and staff to build understanding of the assets, challenges, and advocacy needs of students.

The Thrive Center team is currently located in the Dean of Students Office in 2130 Clarence Mitchell, Jr. Building.
