Meet Our Scholars
Chaitanya Kotikalapudi is currently a Junior CS Student at UMD, interested in pursuing a career in software engineering and cloud computing. Chaitanya is also a member of Zeta Psi, and has served multiple positions within the fraternity such as DEI Chair and Rush Captain.

Past Scholars
Rich Pandya (2022-2024 Scholar)
During his time at UMD, Rich Pandya joined the Zeta Psi Fraternity, transferred into the Robert H. Smith School of Business, and worked closely with Dr. Zeinab Karake to lead Team Cloud 9.1. He has held the Diversity & Inclusions Chair position in the Zeta Psi Fraternity, where he helped to recruit their largest and most diverse new member class in Spring 2022. Working as the student lead of Team Cloud 9.1 has allowed Rich to pursue his professional interests outside of the classroom, and he plans to obtain an AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification by the end of the Fall 2023 semester.
Tuan Le (2021-2022 Scholar)
On campus, I work as an ambassador for the computer science department. In this role, I act as an intermediate between the department and prospective students and their families. I share my own experience with students to help prepare them for the rigorous curriculum and life at the university as a whole. I also help plan events such as new student orientations, discussion panels, and workshops. I am part of Zeta Psi fraternity where I held leadership roles as the Diversity and Inclusion Chair, Social Media Chair, and member of the Judicial Board. Additionally, I am an active member in the Vietnamese Student Association. After graduation, I will be working at Accenture Federal Services as a Software Engineering Analyst.
