About The UMD Student Recovery

The UMD Student Recovery Fund provides support to students who are in recovery from alcohol andor drug use or are currently struggling with addiction. College campuses can be a difficult environment for students to maintain their sobriety. This is due to many factors, including living away from home and a pervasive drinking culture. These challenges can make it difficult for students in recovery to maintain sobriety and succeed academically.

The Student Recovery Fund is used to support activities that foster a campus environment that enhances academic success and personal development for our students in recovery. This includes, but is not limited to, professionally-facilitated support services for students in recovery. The Fund also supports enhancements to the Drop-In Space, a safe space for students in recovery to study and connect with one another, as well as alcohol and drug abuse prevention programming.

Please contact sagiving@umd.edu for more information about the The UMD Student Recovery Fund
