About The Mike Mutryn "Still Going Pro" Award
The Mike Mutryn 'Still Going Pro' Endowed Fund is in honor of Michael Brent Mutryn, the beloved son of Tom and Donna and brother to Mary. Mike died tragically at the age of 23 while he was a student at the University of Maryland and a member of the Men's Ice Hockey Team. Mike was generous and outgoing. He made friends easily and had a wonderful sense of humor. His passion was ice hockey and Mike never gave up the dream of working hard and improving his skills so that one day he would, as he would say, go pro. This endowment will help keep Mikes memory and spirit alive, and will recognize other young men who share Mikes passion and love of hockey.
