About the Gitter Francona, Inc. Scholarship for Veterans
The Gritter Francona, Inc. Scholarship for Veterans was established in 2022 by Gritter Francona, Inc., represented by Cory Gritter. The fund will suports merit-based undergraduate scholarships for student veterans who are enrolled at the University of Maryland.
Meet Our Scholars
Eghosa Ebhojiaye has been a United States Marine Corps Reservist for 6 years. In the Marines, he serves as a motor transport mechanic and as a command physical training representative for his unit. He is currently pursuing his bachelors in electrical engineering with a specialization in computer engineering. In his free time Eghosa likes to play the piano, video games, and practice calisthenics. A meaningful quote for him is “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”

Davis Gamez is a US Navy veteran of 5 years who reached the rank of E5 and worked as an aircraft mechanic. He is a first generation hispanic student, son to Salvadoran parents. He is pursuing a degree in Information Science with a focus in cybersecurity.
Alexei Anicheev (2022-2024 Scholar)
Alexei Anicheev is a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Over the course of his career, Alexei has had several different hats and has worked with some of the most amazing people he’s ever met in his life. After his service, Alexei primarily worked as a contractor and his responsibilities ended up being teaching target language to military students. After doing this for almost three years, Alexei decided to go back to school and reorient his career.
