About Dr. Sacared A. Bodison
Dr. Bodison joined the University Health Center in 1979. She served the University community for nearly 35 years including ten as Director. She came back from retirement in the fall of 2019 as Interim Director and her steadfast leadership guided the University in its response to COVID-19. Dr. Bodison’s impact on the University of Maryland is profound and we are grateful for her vital service to our community.

In order to appropriately honor Dr. Bodison and to recognize her exemplary leadership and commitment to and care for students, the Dr. Sacared A. Bodison Award was established to recognize an outstanding student volunteer or student employee at the University Health Center.
