Meet Our Scholars

Casey Curow

Casey Curow is a Sophomore at the University of Maryland, studying Government and Politics, planning to double major, adding Public Relations, and is on a pre-law track. She joined Tri Delta in the Spring of 2024. Being a part of a community that contributes to such an important cause is one of the aspects Casey values most about being a member of Tri Delta. Tri Delta has given her the privilege of participating in fundraising and philanthropy events. These events have been incredibly special to Casey as she watched everyone unite for such an important cause. Although she has not yet had the opportunity to hold a leadership position within Tri Delta, Casey plans on doing so in the future. Being a member of Tri Delta has also allowed her to foster such special and genuine connections and friendships, and Casey can not wait for what more is to come.

Past Scholars

Mae Jauch (2023-2024 Scholar)

Mae Jauch came to the University of Maryland from Buffalo, New York with the utmost excitement to further her studies and make new connections. She joined Tri Delta in Spring of 2022, and her experience at Maryland blossomed even further. Through her time in Tri Delta, Mae has been a Junior Panhellenic Association Representative, a member of various committees, and currently holds the position of Collegiate Chapter President. She has learned how to be a positive, impactful leader to empower the women both in her chapter and community at large. Outside of Tri Delta, Mae is a member of the UMD Letters of Love Club and Best Buddies UMD. She has also been on the Dean's List of Outstanding Students for every semester thus far. All in all, being both a Terp and a member of Tri Delta has provided Mae with the most fulfilling life experiences and she cannot wait to see what the future holds.

Nicole Bonacorso (2022-2023 Scholar)

Nicole Bonacorso is from Newburyport, Massachusetts. She is in her junior year at the University of Maryland pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture with a minor in Real Estate Development. After graduating in 2024, she plans to attend a graduate program that will provide her with the ability to practice architecture professionally. Throughout her college tenure, Nicole has recognized the importance of female representation in the professional world, making it a career goal of hers to become successful in a field that is predominantly male. On top of her academic pursuits, she is also on the cheerleading team where she cheers for football, men's and women's basketball, and competes on a national level. Outside of being a student athlete, Nicole takes pride in being a Delta Delta Delta by involving herself in philanthropy and sisterhood events.

Maya Bender (2021-2022 Scholar)

Within Delta Delta Delta, I am the Director of Administration and a part of the Lifetime Membership committee. I was also a part of the recruitment committee last semester and was one of my chapter's Junior Panhellenic Association delegates. With regards to academics, I'm currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with hopes of attending graduate school to obtain my Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
