Meet Our Scholars

Benjamin Horton, 2021 Scholar

Max Maust, 2023 Scholar

Max Maust is currently a sophomore at the University of Maryland actively seeking a double major in Supply Chain Management and Information Systems from the Robert H. Smith School of Business. He previously joined the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity this past Spring, and has since joined the fraternity's recruitment committee. In addition to this, he previously elected himself to become the fraternity's tailgate chair, a position where he was tasked with organizing social events and catering on Maryland football gamedays.

Outside of the fraternity, Max is a member of the Robert H. Smith business school's SUSA program; a student-run association made up of business clubs. Within this organization, he was a part of UMD's Consult Your Community, where he was an active participant in setting up an inventory management system for a local genetic testing startup names PMCDx. In addition to this, Max is currently an acolyte for Christ Episcopal Church back in his hometown of Rockville, Maryland. In this role, he assists the priest in proceeding Sunday's service. He has been a devout Christian for 19 years now.

Max plans to continue his path down business in his future endeavors, and is now actively seeking business internships for this upcoming Summer. With his sought out double major, he plans to work in the local area after college, before moving out of state elsewhere.
