Past Scholars
Emily Bertapelle (2023-2024 Scholar)
When Emiky Bertapelle decided to come to Maryland in her senior year of high school, she was excited to be involved in a school with such a wide variety of academic opportunities. She started her freshman year in a living and learning community called iGive, where she learned the process of selecting nonprofits to give grants to. Emily joined Alpha Delta Pi her freshman year, and loved the way that she felt so welcome and encouraged to be herself around her sisters. She decided to apply to be Vice President of Alpha Delta Pi her sophomore year, and she has absolutely loved getting to know even more people through her position. Emily thinks it's rewarding to be able to hold responsibility and contribute back to an organization that gave her such a strong community in her first years of college. Now as a junior, she is getting more involved in the business school and is so excited to see how she will grow in the next two years at college.
