Resident Assistant Scholarship
About Resident Assistants
There are currently over 200 Resident Assistants on the University of Maryland campus. Although compensated with room and board, the vast majority of our current and alumni resident assistants take on the challenge of the position to make a difference.
Resident Assistants choose to serve as student leaders because they have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of their fellow residents. They know they can be a role model and provide compassionate care to their fellow student peers.
About the Fund
Resident Assistants at the University of Maryland make a lasting impact in the lives of students through their leadership, dedication, and compassion for their peers. The Resident Assistant Scholarship Fund provides critical support to University of Maryland Resident Assistants facing financial hardships. Through scholarships for textbooks/technology and tuition, deserving student leaders receive financial assistance to help offset rising education costs. Gifts in support of this fund will support the current-use scholarship fund until the minimum threshold required to convert to endowment is reached.
