Fostering Terp Success

Home Fostering Terp Success

Fostering Terp Success is a campus-wide community of support and belonging for undergraduate students age 24 and under who are struggling with homelessness as well as those who have a history of involvement in foster care. Our comprehensive network of supportive staff and faculty is committed to removing barriers to and assisting students in accessing essential campus services, navigating challenges, and developing self-advocacy and life skills. We offer coaching, workshops, and access to professional staff, referrals, and targeted resources in the community.

If you’re a current undergraduate student and you are interested in the guidance and support provided by our Fostering Terp Success team, click the "Overview" link below for more information and to complete the Thrive Center Assistance Form.

If you’re a UMD staff or faculty member or other supportive adult working with a student who would benefit from involvement in Fostering Terp Success, email us at thrive@umd.edu so a team member can follow up with you.
