Zackary Albrecht

Assistant Director, Donor Relations & Stewardship

Zackary (he/they) joined the University of Maryland’s Division of Student Affairs development team in June 2024. In their role, they focus on donor relations and stewardship efforts to demonstrate philanthropic impact to the more than 5,000 donors who give in support of the division each year. 

Previously, Zackary served as the UMD Philip Merrill College of Journalism’s program manager of alumni relations and development and, before that, as the associate director of communications and fundraising at San Diego State University. 

Zackary earned an M.S. in management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, specializing in association and nonprofit management, and a B.A. in journalism from San Diego State University. They have certifications in crowdfunding from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and conflict resolution from the National Conflict Resolution Center.
