Tomika Strong

2021 - 2022 Scholar

Tomika C Strong is from Virginia Beach, VA but calls Waldorf, MD home. She spent a lot of time growing up in Germany because her father was in the U.S. Army. She is married to James L. Strong, Jr and have three children, Kenny who is 21 years old, Kayla who is 19 years old and Zeynel who is 18 years old.

After graduating from high school in 1997, she enlisted in the Air Force. She has been stationed at Travis AFB, CA, Kunsan AB, South Korea, Incirlik AB, Turkey, Spangdahelm AFB, Germany, Cannon AFB, NM, Bolling AFB, DC and from Keesler AFB, MS.  She also deployed to Southeast Asia on six different occasions. She retired after 20 years of service and moved back to Waldorf, MD with her family.

She received her Associates Degree from College of Southern Maryland and transferred to the University of Maryland College Park, where she will pursue a Bachelor Degree in Family Science.
