Sofia Garay

Sofia Garay is a junior at the University of Maryland double majoring in Multi-Platform Journalism and Criminology/Criminal Justice. She is a staff writer for The Diamondback where she covers justice, identity, and equity issues on and around campus. She is also the editor of the publication's Spanish section, DBKenEspanol. Outside of classes and her journalistic work, Sofia enjoys going for long runs and coaches an elementary school Girls on the Run team.
