Nalia Naeem

2020 - 2021 Scholar

Nalia Naeem is a queer, first-generation Muslim American attending the University of Maryland, College Park, majoring in Information Sciences,. She started gaining interest in the IT field after attending the USA Engineering Festival hosted in Washington, DC. She is an active member of the South Asian Student Association (SASA) as well as the LGBTQ+ Equity Center at UMD, thriving to represent and bring change in society. In the future, she seeks to be an aspiring Business Analyst in the Healthcare/IT industry as well as continue to volunteer for non-profit organizations that would benefit South Asian minorities as well as the LGBTQ+ community.
