Najah Saahir

2020 - 2021 Scholar

Najah is currently a senior pursuing a dual degree in Government and Politics (IR) and Chinese with a minor in International Development and Conflict Management (IDCM) and a certificate program in East Asian Studies (CEAS). She will have worked in Regents as the Student Human Resources Manager for a year at the end of next month. Having transferred from Prince George’s Community College (A.A. in International Studies) last Spring semester, she has become heavily involved within the UMD campus community. These involvements include Tau Sigma National Transfer Honor Society (Communications Chair), Sigma Alpha Lambda National Leadership and Honors Organization, Transfer and Off-Campus Student Life, MLEAD (Facilitator), the Alternative Breaks Program, and last but not least DOTS! She plans to live abroad for a few years before hoping to eventually work within USAID as a Foreign Service Officer.
