Michael Glowacki

Chief of Staff and Assistant to the Vice President

Michael Glowacki is the Assistant to the Vice President and Chief of Staff for the Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of Maryland. Joining the Office of the Vice President in July 2022, Michael is a member of the Vice-President's senior leadership team and an advisor to the Vice President, offering strategic, administrative and managerial support. He provides leadership to the OVPSA operations team and actively leads and coordinates cross-divisional as well as cross-institutional strategic activities and initiatives. With 33 years of prior experience in UMD's Department of Resident Life, Michael brings a broad and varied skill set to his current role. 

Michael is a graduate of The Ohio State University and has strong personal ties to the University of Maryland, being the husband of a Terp alumna and the father to two Terp alums.
