Magdalena Orcev

Magdalena Orcev is a sophomore at the University of Maryland. As one of four siblings who attended UMD and one of three who are currently enrolled in the university, Magdalena knew from her brothers’ experiences that she wanted to be a part of something greater than herself during her time at UMD. As of now, Magdalena is an active member of Kappa Delta sorority and plans to run for an officer or executive position in the spring. She currently holds the position of Tailgate Chair, where she assists in planning, organizing and setting up the IFC and PHA football tailgates on behalf of KD. Magdalena also plans to work as a mentor in the communications center next semester, would like to participate in the Terps Exceed program at some point and is considering applying to write for an on campus magazine. She has always been passionate about meeting people and building connections which is why in her first year at school, Magdalena made it a priority to get to know as many people as she possibly could. Magdalena has also built many connections and made lifelong friends through the Greek community at UMD and hopes to continue to do so throughout the rest of her time here at UMD.
