In 2015, Lenora Knowles co-founded the Baltimore Black Worker Center which advances the rights of Black workers, particularly Black working class women through grassroots organizing. Then 2016, she co-founded Black Womyn Rising, a radical intergenerational Black womenâs organizing collective that is rooted in transformative love and global sisterhood. She has organized a collective effort to bring a communal vision of freedom and justice to life. Through creative community programing, such as Sista Soul Talks, and applying her womenâs studies degree, she is able to have a direct impact on women and girls in Baltimore.
