Julian Mis

2017-2018 Scholar

Julian Mis is a junior, Kinesiology major, on the pre-dental track at the University of Maryland. Along with his degree and future aspirations to attend dental school, he has recently decided he will be pursuing a master’s in finance at UMD’s Robert H. Smith’s School of Business. Outside of the classroom, Julian is an avid brother and member of Sigma Nu, and several other organizations here at UMD. In his time here as a member of Sigma Nu, Julian has served as a social chairman, homecoming chairman, and is currently serving as the vice president. He is also an executive board member of the United2Heal chapter here at campus, whose goal is to collect surplus medical supplies and send them around the world to countries in need. In 2017, Julian had the opportunity to travel to Honduras with UMD’s Global Dental Brigades, where he and a team of other Maryland students provided dental care and education to hundreds of people. Julian is continuing his studies to eventually reach his goal of becoming a dentist, while at the same time being a great friend, brother, and leader outside of the classroom.
