Julian Chiveral

2018-2019 Chatham Scholar, 2019-2020 Scholar

Julian Chiveral is starting their senior year at the University of Maryland, pursuing degrees in mechanical engineering and mathematics with minors in nuclear engineering and sustainability studies. They are also in the Honors College and earned their University Honors citation during fall semester of 2018. They like to stay involved on campus, exploring their interests in student development and civic engagement. They serve as a Resident Assistant in Hagerstown Hall, home to the University Honors program and also are involved with the Residence Hall Association through which they represent the student body and create positive change on campus as the vice president. They are also excited to serve as the president of the Maryland chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the National Mathematics Honor Society.
