Elonna Jones is a rising junior at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is currently majoring in Government and Politics with a minor in Black Women's Studies , she has a strong interest in science and research as she was initially was working towards a Biological Sciences/Government and Politics double major. Though that didn't pan out the way she desired, she honed both interests by completing an internship on the Hill and recently completing her second summer as a Johns Hopkins Intern in Brain Sciences STEM Scholar.

In addition to dedicating her time to academics, she is also involved on campus and in the community as the Activism Committee Chairwoman for the campus chapter of the NAACP and a captain on the UMD mock trial team. She enjoys singing and doing spoken word.
