Dai-An Tran

Director, Student Affairs IT

Dai-An serves as the Director of Student Affairs IT.  In this inaugural role, he provides leadership of all IT functions for the Division’s 16 departments.  This includes fostering collaboration with internal and external campus partners to build a cohesive divisional technology program that ultimately supports students and staff at the University.  He directs all IT operations to support the missions of the Division and of each department through a values-based people-first approach. 

Prior to serving as the Director of Student Affairs IT, he spent over 20 years leading and developing the IT program for the Department of Resident Life.  In this role, he collaborated on numerous departmental, divisional and campus projects and initiatives with the talented and dedicated Student Affairs IT community.

He is an alum of the University of Maryland and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.   Dai-An also obtained a Masters of Science in Technology Management at the University of Maryland Global Campus.
