Christopher Newman is a 20-year-old junior at the University of Maryland, majoring in Information Science. Christopher is passionate about his major because it combines technology, problem-solving, and the study of human behavior, which allows him to explore how data can improve decision making and impact lives. His experience at UMD has been both exciting and fulfilling; he has enjoyed challenging academic courses, engaging in collaborative projects, and being part of a diverse and supportive campus community. Christopher is committed to making the most of his time at Maryland by staying involved, continuously learning, and preparing for his future career
