Colonel Brendan Dunne (Ret) recently retired after a distinguished career of active-duty service in the US Army, continuing a family tradition of public service dating back to the Spanish-American War of 1898.  As a longstanding member of the 75th Ranger Regiment and other special operations units, Brendan continually deployed over the past two decades in support of both the Global War on Terrorism and Overseas Contingency Operations serving in a variety of Command and other key leadership positions.

Brendan has worked extensively with US Interagency, Law Enforcement, and Coalition Partners on a variety of national security issues throughout his career. Before retiring, he was the Director of the Global Analytics Platform, a leading Department of Defense software development initiative aimed at “employing data as a weapon system.” He currently advises TF 7294, a non-profit dedicated to honoring intelligence professionals who safeguarded the nation since 9/11.

Brendan holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a finance degree from the College of New Jersey, earned through an ROTC scholarship. To remain focused on his passion, he co-founded Lovelace AI, an artificial intelligence startup, where he serves as Head of Public Sector.

Brendan is pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, College Park, as part of its inaugural class. His goal is to equip the US government with advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities to revolutionize how threats to national security are detected, analyzed, and mitigated.
