Angela Sun

2022-2023 Scholar

Angela Sun is a junior at UMD majoring in bioengineering with a minor in Spanish. At UMD, she founded and leads the student organization The Every Child Project, which has provided free virtual tutoring to over 150 students across Maryland. She is also an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Alisa Clyne's lab in the bioengineering department, where she is studying the effects of extracellular vesicles from COVID patients on endothelial cells towards an honors thesis. After graduation, she hopes to attend medical school and pursue a career as a pediatrician. She is passionate about combating educational inequity and hopes to continue her work as a mentor and advocate for child health and wellness throughout her future career in medicine!
