Amrutha Alibilli
Amrutha Alibilli is an avid pre-med aspirant in the Integrated Life Sciences Honors program, majoring in Neuroscience with a double minor in Data Science and Spanish. She is passionate about harnessing data-driven insights to address public health disparities and foster community engagement. As a Big Data for Health Equity research intern, she collaborates with mentors to investigate health disparities, harnessing social media-based machine learning models. Furthermore, she is the Associate Director of Funding of Terrapin Think Tank, UMD's first and only public health policy incubator, and partners with the Prince George's County Department of Health to develop county-wide health policy interventions. Her commitment to holistic well-being extends to mental health advocacy as the Finance Coordinator of Lean on Me, UMD's anonymous peer-to-peer non-crisis text line. Furthermore, she cherishes staying involved in the campus community as a Do Good Accelerator Fellow, Bioinformatics Teaching Assistant, Neuroscience Ambassador, AMSA Scribe Editor-in-Chief, and Moksha Indian classical dancer. Amrutha is an empathetic individual eager to weave public health research, policy advocacy, and complementary dance therapy into a healthcare career rooted in humility, compassion, and holistic healing for all individuals.
