A Record Breaking Giving Day

Student Affairs Raises $624,022 on Giving Day, Leads UMD in Donors

Home A Record Breaking Giving Day

The University of Maryland’s Division of Student Affairs raised $624,022 from 2,247 donors during this year’s Giving Day — a 36% increase in funds raised and an 8% increase in donor participation over 2025.

With the highest number of donors of any unit at UMD, Student Affairs once again demonstrated the strength and generosity of the Terp community.

Gifts from alumni, parents, families, staff, students, and friends directly support programs that enhance student well-being, leadership development, career readiness, and campus engagement, ensuring Terps thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.

The momentum from this year’s campaign strengthens the Division’s ability to expand opportunity, respond to emerging student needs, and create transformative experiences across campus.
