Veterans in Transition Crisis Fund

Established in 2014, the Veterans Transition Crisis Fund serves as a critical resource for veteran students experiencing an unanticipated emergency requiring immediate financial support. In honor of Dr. Nancy K. Schlossberg (professor emerita, College of Education) and her groundbreaking work in transitions, the S. Irwin Kamin Foundation endowed this Fund to perpetually support those who have so selflessly served our nation.

University of Maryland Veterans Scholarship Fund

The University of Maryland Student Veterans Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to United States armed forces personnel who served in the active-duty military, and who are full-time or part-time, degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at the University of Maryland.

University of Maryland Veterans Housing Scholarship

The University of Maryland Veterans Housing was created in 2012 through the generosity of a local housing corporation to support a Veteran student or family member who needs assistance with living arrangements. This scholarship provides a room in a housing facility adjacent to campus for a full academic year.

Ammerman Foundation Student Veteran Professional Development Fund

The Ammerman Foundation Student Veteran Professional Development Fund was established to provide support for professional development opportunities such as certifications, trainings, unpaid internships, and attendance at conferences for student veterans at the University of Maryland.

Phi Kappa Tau Beta Omicron Veterans Scholarship

The Phi Kappa Tau Beta Omicron Veterans Scholarship was established to support scholarships for veteran students with a preference for a student veteran who is an active member of Beta Omicron Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity.

Robert B. and Dorothy L. Crotty Veterans Scholarship

The Robert B. And Dorothy L. Crotty Veterans Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2018 in order to provide critical support to University of Maryland students who are veterans, active duty service members or reservists of the U.S. Armed Forces with a preference for students that exhibit positive career ambitions, or display leadership and service to others in the community, or a combination of both.
