The Moniesha Jackson Shorter Scholarship for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® was established in February 2022 to provide merit-based scholarships to members of the Theta Nu chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. with a preference for students who are pursuing a computer science or other STEM field major.

Omicron Delta Kappa – Sigma Circle is the University of Maryland’s chapter of the national leadership honor society for college students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni that recognizes and encourages scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character.

The Omega Psi Phi Chi Delta Endowed Scholarship for the Student Success Initiative was established in 2022 by the Flagship Foundation. This scholarship provides merit-based support to undergraduate students who demonstrate a commitment to the Black community through their leadership and/or involvement in student activities.

The Michelle Martin Moore Endowed Scholarship was established in 2019 in memory of Michelle Martin Moore. The scholarship provides need-based support for returning students who are at least 25 years of age at the University of Maryland.
