Ways to Support Omicron Delta Kappa Sigma Circle

Omicron Delta Kappa Induction Scholarship Fund

The ODK Induction Scholarship Fund financial assistance annually to new inductees of the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. Help Sigma Circle members and alumni to provide support to new ODK inductees with financial need.

Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship Fund

The Sigma Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa was established at the University of Maryland in 1927. ODK is a national leadership honor society for college students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni that recognizes and encourages scholarship, leadership, and exemplary character. Annual scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students at the University of Maryland who have demonstrated outstanding leadership.

Kiyomi D. Harper Omicron Delta Kappa Scholarship Fund

The Kiyomi D. Harper ODK Scholarship Fund supports members of the Sigma Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa with a preference for members who have distinguished themselves through leadership within the Circle. This Scholarship was established in 2017 by Khalil Pettus '15 (ODK President 2014-2015) in honor of his mother.

Omicron Delta Kappa Discretionary Fund

Gifts to the Omicron Delta Kappa Discretionary Fund support the important work of ODK to recognize and develop exceptional campus leaders.

Drury G. Bagwell Lecture Fund

Established by former Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and beloved ODK Faculty Secretary, Drury G. “Dru” Bagwell, this fund supports an annual distinguished lecture. The ODK Speaker Series brings high caliber national and world leaders to the University for the benefit of the entire campus community. 

William L. Thomas, Jr. Omicron Delta Kappa Lecture Fund

Named in honor and in memory of former Vice President for Student Affairs, William L. “Bud” Thomas, this fund provides annual support for the ODK speaker series. Through your support of the Thomas Lecture Fund, we are able to bring speakers to campus who have achieved distinction in their field of expertise, or who have rendered unusually significant service through their leadership in significant causes.

Omicron Delta Kappa Lessons in Leadership Seminar Series

The Omicron Delta Kappa Lessons in Leadership Series was created to support ODK lectures and scholarships at the University of Maryland, College Park.

Colonel J. Logan Schutz Omicron Delta Kappa Leader of the Year Award

The Colonel J. Logan Schutz Omicron Delta Kappa Leader of the Year Award was established in March 2004 by Colonel J. Logan Schutz and will be presented annually to the member of the Omicron Delta Kappa who best exemplifies the ideals of ODK leadership within one or more of the ODK principles: scholarship; athletics; campus or community service; social, or religious activities and campus government; journalism, speech and the mass media; creative and performing arts.
