Technical Help for Sexual Assault Prevention Training & Vector

Login Assistance

The University of Maryland has a unique training URL. Vector uses UMD's multi-factor authentication system for logging in. Follow the steps below to access your training site.

  • Check your inbox.
If you have been assigned training by your organization and they enabled email notifications, you should have an email from your organization's training administrator. It will come from a "@vectorsolutions" domain. We suggest performing a universal search for "Vector", “SafeColleges”, or "SafeSchools" in your inbox to determine if the URL has been shared with you in past correspondence.
  • Reach out to your organization's Training Administrator.
wellnesstraining@umd.edu is the best way to contact the dedicated training administrator. This administrator can provide you with your login information and help with login issues.
  • Contact Vector Solutions' Customer Support Team.
If you’re still running into issues, please contact the Vector Customer Support Team. They will locate your account if it is available or redirect you to your organization's training administrator if an account needs to be created.
  • Use Vector Solutions Online Resources.
Extensive information on using Vector can be found online.

Troubleshooting

The Vector Training Platform is a web-based program that is accessible with an Internet connection 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Platform is compatible with all recent versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Explorer, Safari, iOS, and Android. Despite our optimal accessibility, occasionally users may experience difficulty loading their training. These issues are typically device-specific and can be resolved using the troubleshooting tips below.

If you are accessing training from a computer:

  1. Restart your browser. Note: On a Mac you’ll need to fully quit the browser.
  2. Make sure you are using a recent version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Safari. If you have any pending updates, they may need to be completed to move forward with training.
  3. Clear your browser’s cache & cookies, which are typically located under your browser's history settings.
  4. It is possible that device-specific browser extensions and/or pop-up blockers may be interfering with your training. Try accessing the training from another browser to rule out this possibility.

If you are accessing training from a mobile device:
Our system is compatible with many mobile devices; however, some users may have
personal configurations that prevent certain courses from loading. Additionally, some
custom and policy courses are best displayed on a computer. If you are experiencing
difficulty loading our training on a personal device, try accessing the courses through a
laptop or desktop computer.

Technical Help for You-MD (Alcohol and Opioid Misuse Prevention and Education)

The courses will be accessible around the clock, you will be able to stop, save your work, and return to the courses to complete them at your own pace.

The University of Maryland's learning management system is called ELMS-Canvas (e-learning for Maryland Students) and is hosted in Canvas by Instructure. The DIT Academic Technology and Innovation unit supports faculty and student use of ELMS-Canvas. Questions or problems encountered in the use of ELMS-Canvas can be sent to itsupport@umd.edu or by reporting an issue through Service Now.
