About the Freeman Butler Scholarship for the Student Success Initiative 

The Freeman Butler Scholarship for the Student Success Initiative was established in 2022 by Ivey Freeman Butler '94. The fund provides merit-based scholarships for undergraduate students who are involved with the Student Success Initiative, a student-led program that empowers the Black student population academically, financially, and professionally. Recipients will demonstrate a commitment to the Black community through their leadership and/or involvement.
