About Shiva Vijayaverl

Shiva Vijayaverl graduated from the University of Maryland in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. During his time at UMD, Shiva thrived both academically and socially. He was deeply involved in the University of Maryland Student Government Association, serving in multiple roles legislative representative, finance committee member, and ultimately chief financial officer.

Shiva will be remembered for his infectious laughter, his sense of adventure, and his unwavering ability to lift those around him. He was known for his remarkable intellectual curiosity that led him to have thought-provoking conversations, even with people he had just met. Shiva had a unique gift for lighting up a room and making everyone feel seen, heard, and valued. He lived with kindness, purpose, and a deep love for the people in his life and his community.

The Shiva Vijayaverl Memorial Endowed Scholarship upholds Shiva’s legacy by providing support to students who have demonstrated leadership and community engagement.

Pleasant Land established this scholarship in 2025 in memory of Shiva, a valued employee of the company.
