About The Gerald G. Portney Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in October 1995 by Clara Portney Felsher to honor the memory of her late husband, Gerald G. Portney. Clara sought to honor her late husband by awarding financial help to adults and undergraduate students to relieve their burdens. Scholarship amounts vary and are awarded on a semester basis.

How to Apply
To be eligible for the Gerald G. Portney Scholarship, an individual must be enrolled at the University of Maryland and be at least 23 years of age in good academic standing with the University.
