About the Gamer Symphony Orchestra

The Gamer Symphony Orchestra (GSO) is a student-run ensemble exclusively devoted to performing orchestral arrangements of video game music. Founded in 2005 by Michelle Eng, the GSO was the first collegiate video game orchestra. It now boasts a roster of more than 120 musicians. Members rehearse for four hours a week. The orchestra meets every Thursday evening, while the choir meets every Monday evening. There are additional joint rehearsals every Sunday evening for both orchestra and choir.

About the Fund

The Gamer Symphony Orchestra Support Fund was established to support the GSO. Funds help to promote and sustain the GSO's performances and cover related activities costs. For more information about the Fund, please contact us at sagiving@umd.edu or 301-314-4900.
