About the Gamer Symphony Orchestra
The Gamer Symphony Orchestra (GSO) is a student-run ensemble exclusively devoted to performing orchestral arrangements of video game music. Founded in 2005 by Michelle Eng, the GSO was the first collegiate video game orchestra. It now boasts a roster of more than 120 musicians. Members rehearse for four hours a week. The orchestra meets every Thursday evening, while the choir meets every Monday evening. There are additional joint rehearsals every Sunday evening for both orchestra and choir.
