Zahra Halimi

Zahra is a PhD student in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland. Her research focuses on assessing equity within the workforce, with a particular emphasis on the representation of women and minorities.  Alongside her academic pursuits, Zahra contributes to the engineering community through her volunteer work with the Engineering Graduate Student Society. She organizes and leads seminars for "Women in Engineering" to provide students with professional insights and support. Through her leadership and involvement, Zahra is dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the engineering field.
