Vené Richardson-Powell

2022-2023 Scholar

Vené Richardson-Powell is a senior Bioengineering student and proud recipient of the 2022-2023 Terp Family Scholarship. Vené transferred to UMD in the Fall of 2020 and since transferring, she has joined a few student organizations and participated in fundraisers to support the College Park community. Vené also joined the Mueller Lab as an undergraduate researcher in the A. James Clark school of engineering where she optimizes parameters for a therapy that will treat pre-cervical cancer in low-and-middle income countries. In her last semester at UMD Vené will complete her Bioengineering coursework as an Exchange student in Australia. Post-graduation, Vené will apply to medical school, shadow physicians abroad, and continue as a researcher until she matriculates.
