Travis Turlis

2024-2025 Scholar

Travis is a proud New Englander, having grown up in Norwalk, CT. He joined the U.S. Army as an infantryman machine gunner at the age of 17 and was stationed with an Arctic Warfare unit in Fairbanks, Alaska. After 3 years of military service, Travis decided to change careers and earned his bachelor's degree in Finance at the University of Maryland. Now with several years of experience as a Financial Planner in the Defense and Government Contracting industries, he has returned to the University of Maryland to earn his MBA.
