Tolu Talabi

I am a freshman majoring in Journalism. I am a copy editor for the Diamondback and will be a reporter for The Diamondback Offbeat Fall 2023. I will also be a column writer for the Diamondback Fall 2023, where I will write monthly articles about UMD’s black creatives. I am also a staff writer for The Black Explosion, where I write articles centered on justice for the black community. Outside my world of Journalism, I continue to write and edit my African fantasy novel titled “Oorun” that will be published my senior year of College. I also love exploring, which is why I have created an Instagram page known as Exploreumd, where I make reels of hidden gems on campus such as fun club activities, exhibitions, basically everything hidden!
