Steven Clausen

2019-2020 Scholar

Steven Clausen is originally from Verplanck, New York. He is currently a student at The University of Maryland, pursuing a bachelors degrees in mathematics and a second in computer science. He joined the United States Navy and served as a TV and radio broadcaster for the American Forces Networks in Naples, Italy. When he has free time, he is an avid rock climber and struggling language learner. He is currently learning German and speaks a reasonable amount of Spanish. His hope is to work in the field of machine learning after he graduates from school.
