Siwen Liu

2020-2021 Newcombe Scholar

Siwen Liu is a junior, majoring in accounting at the University of Maryland, College Park. Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree. Her interest in accounting began when one of her professors in the accounting course recommended her as a peer leader in the accounting lab, a position that requires leadership, listening skills, and a full understanding of the material. As a non-native English speaker, she works very hard. In order to overcome the weakness in English, she would prepare in advance, whether it be for a presentation, paper, or an exam.
