Shirly Rivera

Shirly Rivera proudly the first child in my family to graduate from college. Shirly was born in El Salvador but grew up in California. She enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17 as a way to give back to the country that offered her a second chance and an escape from the violence. While serving in Afghanistan, Shirly was selected for the ROTCGreen to Gold Scholarship which allowed her to complete my degree and commission as a Medical Services Officer. Shirly’s military career has allowed her to serve in various leadership positions to include Medical Officer for an Infantry Battalion, Chief of Operations, and Company Commander. Shirly’s goal is to earn her MBA to better prepare herself for her future positions in the military as a Procurement and Acquisitions Officer.
