Sara Feret

Sara Feret

Sara Feret served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was stationed on U.S.S. John Paul Jones (Guided Missile Destroyer) where she worked as a cryptologic technician. She was deployed to the Persian Gulf as part of Operation Enduring Freedom and was awarded the Navy Marine Corp Medal of Achievement and an ESWS pin (Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist) all while deployed. Sara hails from Texas and is married to a fellow service member. They have a young daughter. Currently Sara serves as the Executive Vice President of TerpVets, the University of Maryland student veteran organization, and she is a mentor for the PAVE (Peer Advisors for Veteran Education) program. Sara is working on her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and has plans to continue her education in Occupational Therapy after she graduates. She maintains a 3.28 GPA.
