Ross Sawilowsky

2023-2024 Scholar

Ross Sawilowsky is studying Psychology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies. He is a student staff member at Fostering Terp Success (FTS) as well as at the LGBTQ+ Equity Center. At FTS, he assists with program management and executes the weekly student newsletter, advertising upcoming events, scholarship, and job opportunities, as well as giving students gentle reminders to engage in self-care. In his second semester working with the LGBTQ+ Equity Center, Ross proposed and executed a series of programming to increase trans inclusion at UMD.

In his free time, he functions as President for Campus Queers and Allies as well as Male Identified Queers. Lastly, Ross has been involved with advocacy work to push for the increase of multi-stall gender neutral restrooms on campus, and recently became the President of the Pride Alliance.
