Romeo Verdeflor Jr.

2019-2020 Scholar

Romeo Verdeflor Jr. served 6 years in the United States Marine Corps and deployed with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit in 2014 as well 3 different posting to Abuja, Nigeria, Athens, Greece and Milan, Italy as a Marine Embassy Guard. He is majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Cybersecurity with the intent to graduate in the summer of 2022. He is the only person in my family that enlisted in the military and he's looking into taking the knowledge and skills he gains from The University of Maryland, coupled with his military experience, to the federal sector with the aim of continuing his service to the country.
